The senior special assistance to the President on media and publicity Garba Shehu has made it known during an interview with the journalist that the President, Muhammadu Buhari  had not changed his plan to return to his doctors in London.

Shehu said, "It is false news that Buhari  is no longer going to London . We are not aware of the reported advance movement.

" the last time the president spoke about this, he said he would return to his doctors after some weeks. We are not aware that this has changed. "

Buhari admitted that he had never been sick like this before when he came back from his medical vacation in London.  Also added that he is feeling much better but  there may be need for further follow-ups within some weeks.

Garba Shehu however did not specify the actual date Buhari would return to London.

Missing Farmer found dead in the belly of a python.

A missing Indonesian farmer has been found dead in the stomach of a big python in West Sulawesi  province, reported by media on Wednesday.

The four metre long Python was caught by residents in Karossa district on Monday while they were looking for the missing Akbar, who had faild to return home after leaving to pick Palm oil fruit in a near by plantation in the previous day.

Reported by the kompas daily, they found fully-clothed body of Akbar , 25, when they cut the belly of the python open.

The python was recorded to be four metra long.

"His harvest was scattered," a resident , Satriawan was quoted as saying by Tribunnews website .

On Wednesday, Britain formally launches the process to leave European Union,a historic step that have divided the country and thrown into question for the future of the European projects .

Just few days after EU's 60th birthday, Britain will become the first country ever to seek divorce, striking a blow at the heart of the union forged from the ashes of the second world war.

Nine months since the shock referendum vote to leave the EU, Article 50 of the bloc's Lisbon Treaty , meaning Britain is set to leave in 2019 will be triggered by the Prime Minister, Theresa May.

"We must no longer be defined by the votes we cast in the referendum but a determination to make success of the result," May will tell the MP's later Wednesday .

"The triggering of Article 50 is the moment for the country to come together," May will say, a day after Scotland's Parliament voted in favour of holding a fresh referendum on Independence  from Britain, in a bid to hold on to EU ties.

May has already signed the Brexit letter to be delivered to EU president, Donald Tusk on Wednesday and the two leaders spoke by phone ahead of the momentous event.

22 year old Man sentenced to 2months imprisonment for stealing N170

Wisdom Gabriel,  a 22 year old has been sentenced to two month imprisonment by A Karmo Grade I Area Court in Abuja  for stealing N170 at a Chemist shop in old Karmo market.

The Judge, Mr Abubakar Sadik, gave this convict N5,000 option of fine.

The Judge said the sentence would serve as a deterrent to others that may be tempted to commit similar crime.

He was found guilty in a one-count charge of stealing a box containing N170 which the prosecutor said the offence was punishable under section 287 of penal code.

Gabriel who resides in Aiko Estate , Life Camp, Gwarimpa , pleaded with the Judge to temper justice with mercy. He told the court that Satan pushed him into the crime.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Zanna Dalhatu had told the court that one Helen  Atusu  of old Karmo arrested and brought the convict to Karmo police station on March 24,2017.

Dalhatu said the complainant said that on the same date, the convict broke into her chemist's Shop at old Karmo Market and Made away with a box containing N170

She raised alarm which led to the arrest of the convict with the help of one Chukwuma Eze.

Senate has commenced investigation over alleged N4trn revenue leakage

The Alleged N4 trillions revenue leakage in the Nigerian customs Service between 2006 and 2016 is under investigation by the Senate committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff

Senator Hope Uzodinma, the chairman of the committee, made this known in an interview with the newsmen on Sunday in Abuja

The committee would stop at nothing in recovering the money, which was lost to lapses and various infractions said Uzodinma.

He pointed out that preliminary investigation by the committee revealed that over N4 trillions revenue leakage was due to abuse and non implementation of  Form M (Foreign Exchange forms )

He added that wrong classification of cargo Under HS code (Harmonised System codes), non screening of Cargoes coming into Nigeria and lack of adequate ICT  infrastructure for revenue collection,  were equally responsible .

Uzodinma further explained that cancellation of pre-arrival assessment reports and abandonment of single Goods declaration  were equally responsible.

Stephanie Otobo's mother has appealed to Apostle Johnson Suleman saying that her daughter is not normal.

The mother of Stephanie Otobo , a Canadian based Nigerian  Singer ,has appealed to Apostle Johnson Suleman over the alleged sex allegation vtby her daughter claiming that they have been in a relationship which he impregnated and abandoned her even after which he had promised to marry her.

Speaking to journalist in Sapele, Delta state, on Thursday March,  23, 2017, Mrs Otobo said that she have not seen her daughter for the past 3years. While Stephanie Otobo had earlier alleged that Apostles Suleman after a marriege proposal,  went with her to see her father during which an introduction ceremony took place. But she latter said the introduction took place in the church after when her father debunked the claim.

She said her mother and sister accompanied her to Auchi for the introduction but Mrs Otobo denied accompanying Stephanie to the headquarters of Omega Fire Ministries in Auchi for the alleged introduction ceremony.

Mrs Otobo who spoke in Pigin English said she had never met Apostle Suleman.

Stephanie's mother said she had never been to Omaha Fire Ministries, warning that those manipulating her daughter against the cleric will be exposed.

She blamed the devil for seeking to destroy her daughter lamenting that all effort to get Stephanie to live a normal life had not yielded the desired result.

 She expressed willingness to apologize to the cleric of giving an access.

She also appealed to the cleric to forgive her daughter and bury the hatchet

He was reacting to a story published by Sunday Punch titled " Prominent Nigerians with certificate scandals ."

Names listed in the publication were; President Muhamadu Buhari; former President Goodluck Jonathan; former  Senate President, Evans Enwerem; former speaker of the house of representatives,  Salisu Buhari; Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose; and a national leader of All Progressive Congress,  Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

But Shehu said Buhari does not fit into the category because he had no certificate scandal .

The president spokesman said the issue of certificate scandal was raised against Buhari  2015 by those who wanted him disqualified from the presidential race.

Shehu said the issue was dealt with successful before the election, saying the president have no certificate case hanging on his neck.

The statement read, " we wish to emphatically state that the president Muhammadu Buhari does not fit into categorisation of leaders with certificate scandals because he bears non that is on available records.

"In the course of the contest for the office of the president in 2015,  a number of wild, untrue and malicious allegations were made against him in order to stop him from contesting the office in the election.

"The issue of certificate was raised against him but the campaign successfully dealt with the allegation by providing  evidence that not only was he qualified to run , he had higher academic qualification than is required by the constitution . As a result , he went on to run for the office and eventually  win"

Senate to Invite ABU authorities over Dino Melaye certificate scandal this week

The authorities of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria will be summoned this week by the Senate to clear the controversy about the alleged Certificate scandal raised against the Chairman Senate committee on federal territory , Senator Dino Melaye .

A source said the Senate is inviting the authorities of the University Dino Melaye claimed to have attended,  to clear the controversy. The truth will be cleared this week by Ahmadu Bello University  authorities.

This issue of qualification scandal of Dino Melaye began on March 20 2017 when an online media known as Sahara Reporters in a tweet alleged that Senotor Dino Melaye did not graduate from Ahmadu Bello University for his first degree, against his claim that he studied Geography in the institution.

The News medium, Sahara Reporters alleged that Melaye who is the chairman Senate committee on federal capital territory bribed his head of department who assisted him to forge his transcript.

The tweet on Sahara Repoters tweeter handle said that some lecturer in Geography department insisted that Melaye did not graduate from the department and that his name was not on graduation list because he failed five compulsory courses.

In a reply to this, Melaye told the Sahara Reporters to sue him if it had authentic evidence to back his claim.

Melaye on his tweeter handle wrote , "Sahara reporters, sue me and ABU if it is true that I did not graduate from Zaria. Tell  Magu (EFCC chairman ) to arrest and prosecute me.

Melaye also claimed that he was currently a student in Abu pursuing his seventh degree.

Melaye while speaking on the floor of Senate a day after the news broke addressed himself as an 'authentic graduate of ABU"

Woman give up pornography to become pastor

A mother has quit her porn star career and lavish life style to become a pastor.

The 33 years old lady spend 10 years in porn industry before turning her life around after meeting and marrying a pastor.

After falling pregnant at the age of 16, she took to acting pornographic films to be Abel to take care of her self and her baby.

A porn agent had assured her that she had the potential to make $30,000 monthly translating to $360,000 a year.
Crystal Bassette from Clay, New York attended her first scene in a house at Malibu, California but it wasn't an easy experience, not in the slightest.

She said, "I remembered after the scene I was in shower for over 2hours crying. Then I stopped after that shoot and didn't go back for about one month.

"I ended up going back to it again and that was when I was numbing myself through taking pains medicine and drinking alcohol to get through the scene.

"It just became like this daily routine for me where I will drop my son off to school in the morning,  go do a shoot and return home. It was like a regular 9 to 5 job"

Crystal addiction to alcohol and both earning and spening large amount of money became a vicious cycle - one that she said sucked her up until she ultimately lost herself in the haze.

Eventually, she decided this life style was unsustainable to her and her well- being so she turned to Bible for help.

"My mind was so messed up and after reading the Bible I know that I was been haunted by a spirit of Jezebel " she said.

 "The day I was saved, I felt like the preacher was just speaking to me directly . It was like he was preaching to only me and you know that day I felt like God was talking to me through his preaching and everything he said felt right.

"I Ended up walking the middle. I got down on my knees and was just praying to God to just release me from everything and my mom was there and my sister came over and were just all crying.

"And that was the day I got saved"

Crystal began devoting her life to God - and in the process,  she met her now Husband - David, a pastor.

She said, "He'd known about my past for years because my sister was going to his church . David is a kind of guy that believe your past is your past. You can't keep looking back at it. It's done with.

"It is definitely the ultimate change. It's going from one extreme to the next. I had to get away from this whole life.

The couple married December 2014 and were soon joined by their son Carter, Who was welcomed by the older brothers 16 year old Justin and  7 year old Landon.

David, 26 said, "what I would like people take away from us is that God can forgive you no matter what past you come from.

"I would like people to come to Christ through our relationship and our experiences.  I hope it encourages everybody else to do the same , to realise that money and fame isn't what  It's about.

Now recovered from her alcohol addiction and out of the porn industry,  Crystal has been able to reflect on her decisions and now believes she knows what led her on a path to adult film industry.

She said' "I was sexually abused when I was a child by two different people. So I went through  a lot of stuff as a kid.

"It's wordless,  I am alright now but it took me a long time. I went through a few years of therapy and stuff so I realise why i was choosing the life that I did."

With the surport of her friends and family,Crystal is now in a great place and have even graduated from college to become a paralegal and trained as a pastor.

David and Crystal have even founded their own church known as New Beginnings Christian Life in Fulton, New York where they hope to inspire others.

Crystal said, I look back at my past now and you know  I can't say I really regret anything because it has made me who I am today.

"It's like if I grew up as a teacher, I probably wouldn't be helping people now. I probably would be completely different.

"My past made me whom I am today and God has changed my life completely;

President Muhammadu Buhari said his rest continues over the weekend.

The president of The federal republic of Nigeria said on Friday that he decided to return to the country today to continue his rest over the weekend.

He said Vice-president  Yemi Osinbajo would continue to work while he continues with his rest.
He has therefore asked those who planned to send a delegation to come and welcome him to stay back and continue to pray for the country.

The president, Muhammad  Buhari spoke in a meeting held with government officials shortly after arriving the presidential Vila, Abuja

The president also hinted that he would be doing some follow-ups on his health in a few weeks.

Trump's Revised travel ban to be blocked by Washington.

The top prosecutor in Washington said Thursday that his office was filing a motion to block president Donald Trump's Revised travel ban targeting citizens of six Muslim countries .

Attorny General Bob Ferguson, whose state was the first to sue over Trump's initial travel ban that created chaos and was eventually blocked,  said at least three other states are expected to join the new legal battle.

He said his motion calls on an existing injunction against the travel ban issued in January to be applied to the new directive .

" we are asserting that the president cannot unilaterally declare himself free of the court's restraining order and injunction" Ferguson  told reporters .

"It is our view that the temporary restraining order that we had already obtained remains in effect."

He said, although the revised order issued on Monday was narrower in scope, it still could be challenged on the constitutional ground.

Hawaii filed the first legal challenge on the new executive order.

The new order denies US entry to all refugees for 120days and halt for 90days the granting of visas to nationals from Iran, Syria , Libya, Somalia , Yemen and Sudan. It is due to take effect on march 16
The first order has also applied to the citizen of Iraq but the country was dropped in the new list .

Militants has warned Nigerians to stay away from South African companies

Few days after Niger Delta militant gave a month altimatum to South African Companies to leave Nigeria, the agitators have warned Nigerians to stay away from such companies for their safety.

Three militant group: Niger Delta watchdogs, The Niger Welter volunteers, Niger Delta Strike Force , had on February 28,2017 asked South African firms to leave Nigeria within a month following the xenophobic attack against Nigerians in South Africa.

The coalition of the militant groups said it will blow up more than 18 investment belonging to South Africans if they fail to leave the West African country.

A new militant group in the oil-rich region, known as the Niger Delta warriors,  has expressed its support for the three groups

A statement made available to the press on Thursday by General Henry Okon Ekete indicated that nothing will stop them from attacking firms like MTN, Shoprite, Multi Choice and Escom

The statement read, we have studied the recent press release of Niger Delta Watchdogs, Niger Delta Volunteers and Niger Delta Strike Force with the great concern ; we have seen that it is for the interest of the nation and Nigerians in general.

We therefore, give our total/unalloyed support to the joint actions . We hereby declare our total support and will join the reprisal attacks on companies and persons from South Africa living and doing business in Nigeria.

"We are ready to negotiate with our colleagues in the struggle. This is for the redemption of our people from the South African vampires , we must work together for the success of this mission.

"This shall be the first of its kind and our action can not be contained. The one month altimatum issued is sacrosanct, and we are waiting for the Nigerian government to close down all South Africans companies as directed before the expiration of the dateline .

Date for 2019 presidential election has been released by INEC

The Independent National Electoral  Commission (INEC) has announced February 16, 2019 as the date for the next presidential election in Nigeria.

The INEC national commissioner in charge of south west, Solomon Soyebi made this disclosure during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday said further that the commission also fixed the date for governorship / State Assembly / Federal Capital Territory area council election for Saturday March 2,2019.

Fire kills 22 girls in a Shelter

Guatemala declared 3 days mourning after a blaze Wednesday in a Government run-children's shelter killed at least 22 girls and focused attention on allegation of sexual and other abuse in the facility.

All those killed were aged between 14 and 17.


Many died of burns in the fire in the virgin of assumption home in San Jose Pinula 10kilometres east of Guatemala city, official  said.

A total of 38 were injured, 16 of them in a critical condition, hospital official said.

President Jimmy Morals said in a national television that he had ordered dismissal of the shelter director

The fire was believed to have started during an overnight rebellion in the centre,  which holds nearly double the 400 people it was designed to house. Some youths tried to escape , news report said.

Morals said that before the fire, orders had been giving to transfer some of the youths to other facilities because of the over crowding.

"They were serving food to the teenagers when some of them started a fire in a mattress and that's how the fire was set" said Abner Paredes , a prosecutor defending children's right.

Human right activist held a vigil Wednesday night ,lighting candles and placing flowers outside the shelter and in the main  square in Guatemala city.

3 gunmen dressed like doctors attack military hospital.

3 gunmen dressed as doctors stormed Afghanistan's largest military hospital on Wednesday , official said, in an attack claimed by Islamic state group as it makes inroads into the war-gathered country.

More than 70 others were wounded in the assault on the Sardar Daud khan hospital , with explosions and gunfire rattling Kabul's diplomatic district as dense clouds of smoke rose in the sky.

Medical staff  hunkered down in the Hospital wards posted desperate messages for help on social media, with television foot age showing some of them trapped on the ledge of a top floor window.

"Attackers are inside the hospital pray for us" a hospital staff wrote on Facebook .

Hospital administrators told AFP three gunmen wearing laboratory costs began spraying bullet after a suicide bomber in foot blew himself at the back door entrance sparking choas into the 400-bed facility.

I saw one of the attackers holding an Ak-47 and dressed as a Doctor shooting at patients and guards in the 3rd floor". Hospital nurse  Abdul Qadeer told AFP .

"They shot my friend but I managed to flee... I had to jump over the barbed wire to escape.

At least, two other loud explosion - including what the defence minister called a car Bomb in the hospital parking lot - as Afghan special forces launch ed a clearance operation that lasted around 6hours.

The attacker's were gunned down after special forces landed on the do roof of the hospitalwith the military helicopter.

The attack in the capital's central Wazir Akbar Khan nabourhood  had killed 38 and wounded more than 70 people. The Italian Run-emergency  said in a statement adding that a seven year old boy was among those seriously I hired

Breakout of violence between some Yoruba youth and Hausa people.

Resident of Ile IfE have deserted some areas in the town due to violence between some Yoruba youth and Hausa people .

It was gathered that the fight was as a result of misunderstanding between a Yoruba man and an Hausa man at Sabo area of Ife.

The Yoruba man was said to have been beaten by some Hausa traders but they were calmed
However, fight erupted on Wednesday and some people were said to have been killed.
Though this is yet to be confirmed .

Most residents were seen fleeing the Sabo area while some kiosk were set on fire by angry mod.

Man ordered to strip naked by Soldier.

This is a terrified citizen who was targeted by an Iraqi soldier with a gun. To prove his innocence and Identity, he was ordered to take off all his clothes. The scene happened in Mosul, Iraq, this week after the Iraqi army entered an ISIL-held area.

As hundreds of soldiers have died from suicide bombings, the Iraqi army has made it a rule to inspect every adult on the street to ensure they are free of bombs.

Since last October,  some 200,000 people have escaped Mosul. Last week alone, the number of refugees  leaving Mosul are about 40,000.

Recently, the Iraqi army attacked ISIL controlled central part of Mosul, but bad weather put a halt to the offensive.

Kaduna Airport ready to take over as an alternative to Abuja international Airport

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has announced that Kaduna international Airport is now ready and fit for 24hours operation.

The General manager public affairs of the NCAA Mr Sam Adurogboye, made this known in Lagos saying that the Airport is now ready for local and International flights.

He also said that all necessary steps to ensure the status of the Airport as an alternative airport to Nnadi Azikiwe international airport, Abuja had been taken.

The federal Government has announced the closure of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport  Abuja from midnight wednesday to allow for extensive repair of runway.

The NCCA official has assured all the passengers of safety and security in all the Airports in the country.

Adurogboye said that the regional manager of NCAA for Abuja and Kaduna offices were on ground to allow for smooth integration of the additional staff coming to Kaduna.

He said to sustain the safety and security of operation of airline operations, a team of aviation safety inspectors from the directorate of airworthyness standard has already moved to the Airport.

Stephanie Otobo Allegedly Tried To Blackmail Apostle Suleman Demanding N500m From Him

The General overseer of Omega Fire Ministry world wide, Apostle Johnson Suleman distanced himself from the arrest and detention of one miss Stephenie Otobo by police on March 3 over an alleged blackmail  offence.

The allegation came about a month after his instigation by the Department Of State Service (DSS) over an alleged incitement in his sermon in which he said that any Fulani herdsman found around his church should be killed

Apostle Johnson Suleman in a statement by his communication manager, Shaibu Phrank said there was no amorous relationship between Him and Otobo let alone promising to marry her.

A statement from Shaibu said that lady was allegedly arrested by the security operatives after an attempt to blackmail Suleman, demanding N500m from him, failing which she threatens to expose a purported amorous relationship with him.

A legal practioner, Festus Keyamo had demanded N500m from apostle Suleman on behalf of Otobe and accusing Apostle Suleman of using policemen to detain and intimidate his client unlawfully after  which he has promised to marry her.

Shaibu said Keyamo was misled to believe that there was an amorous relatiobship between the cleric and Otobo adding that the lady was arrested while trying to withdraw money paid into her account by the church in a sting operation carried out by the police.

He said "unknown to Keyamo, the police was alerted following severely attempts by the same lady to blackmail Apostle Johnson Suleman. The polic also recorded her conversations while makifrevourdeman. The highpoint of it was her trying to withdraw the money paid into her account at the instance of police. The lawyer should know that his client was arrested by the policemen with abundance of evidence confirming that she is indeed a big time blackmailer".

Shaibu also denied Keyamo's claim that their was amoruos relation and a promise to marry  his client.

The lady is said to be a stripper in a night club at Canada who is like every other peeople that seek help from Apostle Suleman called to pretentiously convey her intentions to embrace Christ and also need financial assistance to keep body and soul together as she no longer have a means of livelihood after quitting her job as a stripper.

The lady also made a claim that Apostle Suleman came for her marriage introduction which contrary to that allegation her father Rev. Benson Otobo, has refuted the claim saying the cleric has never been to his house.

Rev. Benson Ogoto has regretted why she was attempting to drag the name of the  revered man of God to mud.
